What is I-BEST?
I-BEST uses a team-teaching approach. Students work with two teachers in the classroom: one provides job-training and the other teaches basic skills in reading, math, or English language. Students get the help they need while studying in the career field of their choice – they learn by doing. Our faculty and staff are available to support you every step of the way!
What classes will I take?

What tests do I need to take?
Students take the CASAS assessment in both Reading and Math. In addition, students complete a writing sample. Entrance to the program is based on test scores and writing sample.
What is the time commitment?
Students in the I-BEST NA-C Program are attending classes full time. Additionally, students must be prepared to complete 88 hours of clinical time during Quarter 2 of the program. Students will be working 10 hour days at the clinical site to meet the hours requirement.
Is financial assistance available?
Students should have a plan in place for tuition, fees and books. This program is Workforce eligible. To see if you qualify, visit workforce.tacomacc.edu and take the eligibility survey. Financial assistance may be available through Tacoma Community House.
