What is I-BEST?
I-BEST uses a team-teaching approach. Students work with two teachers in the classroom: one provides job-training and the other teaches basic skills in reading, math, or English language. Students get the help they need while studying in the career field of their choice – they learn by doing. Our faculty and staff are available to support you every step of the way!
What classes will I take?

What tests do I need to take?
Students take the CASAS assessment in both Reading and Math. In addition, students complete a writing sample. Entrance to the program is based on test scores and writing sample.
What is the time commitment?
Students in the I-BEST NA-C Program are attending classes full time. Additionally, students must be prepared to complete 99 hours of clinical time during Quarter 2 of the program. Students will be working 10 hour days at the clinical site to meet the hours requirement.
Is financial assistance available?
Students should have a plan in place for tuition, fees and books. This program is Workforce eligible. To see if you qualify, visit workforce.tacomacc.edu and take the eligibility survey.
