After nearly three years as executive director of Tacoma Community House, Lauren Walker Lee has accepted a new position. Her last day will be December 17, 2021. She will be working on a national scale with governmental organizations to ensure compliance related to affirmatively furthering fair housing. Lauren supported TCH during some of its most challenging times.
TCH Board of Director President, Tom Diehm, stated “Lauren was presented with a surprising opportunity to return to fair housing work. We appreciate her dedication and efforts to get the agency’s finances back on track, open the new building, facilitate the joining of TCH and The REACH Center, and for providing leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. We wish Lauren well in her future endeavors.”
Jason Scales, TCH Director of Clients Services and The REACH Center, will step in as Interim Executive Director and will work with Lauren and the rest of the TCH leadership to ensure a smooth transition. The Board of Directors will conduct a wide search for the next executive director.
