Volunteering with Tacoma Community House is a one of the best ways to support the community. Serving the Puget Sound region for over 100 years, our programs have flourished, evolved and changed over time to meet the needs of the community. Today, having a diversity of programs offered at Tacoma Community House, there are ample volunteer opportunities to support community members in the Puget Sound region. Go beyond rhetoric and start making a difference in the community that is sustainable and long-lasting. Find your niche as a tutor and help someone prepare for their GED® test, learn the English language, assist the immigration department and help community members become naturalized citizens, help adults find employment, and so much more.
Join the hundreds of people who have chosen to dedicate their time to Tacoma Community House. From teaching individuals how to navigate a new culture, to working one-on-one with a struggling young reader, to getting creative in the development department, there’s always plenty to do. Volunteer opportunities are available to people age 18 and older.
