Wanted: Members for Tacoma Commission on Immigrant and Refugee Affairs

On December 12, 2017, the Tacoma City Council adopted Resolution No. 39892 which established a Commission on Immigrant and Refugee Affairs. The purpose of the Commission is to better engage Tacoma’s immigrant and refugee communities and to work with community partners to identify and advance positive outcomes for members of this diverse population.

The City Council is looking to appoint 11 positions and one alternate to the Commission, including one youth or young adult member under the age of 25. All members shall demonstrate experience or expertise with immigrant issues.
