Volunteer as a Read2Me Tutor

Read2Me brings community volunteers into Tacoma Public Schools to help emerging readers gain confidence and ability. In 45 minutes, one day a week throughout the school year, you can change the life of a child forever. Our program provides one-on-one mentorship for children who are working to understand basic reading skills. The children have the opportunity to work in a safe environment, to succeed as a reader and as a member of our community.

Our unique program works within the schools during the school days in a Read 2 Me designated classroom. Our on-site coordinators are there to support each tutor and student to ensure that our program mirrors the curriculum of each child’s classroom.

It takes a village to raise a child, and it takes our community to make this program a success. Please consider helping an emerging reader today.
