Aid Immigration

Volunteer with our Immigration Department

Clients of Tacoma Community House’s (TCH) immigration department seek out our services for help with navigating the complex and difficult immigration system.  They may want help with their status in order to work, to assist family members in coming to the United States, or to become citizens.

You can be a link in the chain of TCH history that extends more than 100 years. Contribute to a cycle of generational education and empowerment.  Be a catalyst for change by being part of Tacoma Community House’s service to the community.

Work side by side with dedicated case managers. Get training on common immigration forms and client files. Learn to understand the difference between immigrants and refugees, and learn about different groups of newcomers in the Tacoma area.  Build your own skills and resume while you help your community become a place where everyone can and does participate.

Volunteer opportunities are limited in the Immigration Department. Please contact us to see if we have any positions available.
