Immigrant & Refugee Youth Forum: What Makes Tacoma a Welcoming City?

September 21, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Tacoma Community House has partnered with local organizations to host a panel of four young speakers to share their personal stories as first- and second-generation immigrations, refugees, and DREAMers — stories rich with struggle, triumph, and dreams for the future. Join us along with Tacoma’s decision-makers, those who routinely work with Tacoma’s immigrant/refugee populations (e.g., elected officials, educators, law enforcement, members of the business community), for this important community forum. We will discuss the challenges facing Tacoma as a Welcoming City, as well as future strides we can make to improve our city for newcomers.
